It was still primarily cinematic, but careful viewers spotted in-game UI elements suggesting it was captured from a near-final build.

The extended look. Arriving less than three months before the confirmed November 19 launch, on Netflix first then YouTube. If it follows the Rockstar pattern, this is where the game stops being a promise and starts being a product you can evaluate.

What to look for when it drops

If you want to watch the trailer with a critical eye rather than just consuming it, here is what actually tells you something:

• HUD elements. If gameplay is shown, any visible health bar, minimap, weapon wheel or mission prompt is real information about how the game plays, not how it looks in a trailer.
• Camera angles. Gameplay footage uses the in-game camera — usually third-person, positioned behind the character. Cinematic footage uses film-style shots. The ratio tells you how much is showing versus selling.

If owning a disc matters to you, keep watching for updates. Some reports suggest a disc edition may follow later, but nothing is confirmed. For now, every "physical" copy is functionally a digital purchase in a box.
